Principle Introduction:

The contact angle refers to the angle between the tangent line drawn at the gas-liquid interface at the junction of the gas, liquid, and solid phases, on the liquid side, and the solid-liquid interface line. Symbol: θ. The contact angle measuring instrument is the primary instrument for testing the contact angle of material surface properties.

The contact angle measuring instrument utilizes the principle of optical imaging. The equipment employs image and video contour analysis to measure the contact angle, wetting properties, interfacial tension, receding angle, surface energy, and other properties of the sample surface. It can meet various routine measurement needs and is currently widely used in numerous universities, research institutes, and enterprises.

Contact Angle Meter Software Introduction: 

The contact angle meter software includes static contact angle, dynamic contact angle, roll-off contact angle, surface energy, surface tension, and adhesion work. The software features image clarity discrimination and automatically finds a baseline and fits a contour during contact angle measurement. For curved baselines formed by special shapes or structures on material surfaces, manual mode can be used for measurement. This general-purpose multi-functional video optical contact angle meter utilizes droplet shape analysis technology to analyze the wetting properties of thousands of material surfaces. The fully automatic tilting stage and video system are software-controlled, automatically recording the droplet shape changes, tilt angle, and position movement during tilting, and automatically measuring relevant parameters such as roll-off angle, advance angle, and retreat angle.
